Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Yuwa's located?
Yuwa's Thai Dining is at Lönnrotinkatu 33–35 in the Kamppi, Punavuori and Hietalahti area of central Helsinki. About a 5-minute walk from Kamppi metro station.
What are Yuwa's opening hours?
Yuwa's is open Mon–Fri for lunch 10:45–14:15, Wed–Fri also for dinner 17:00–21:00, and Saturdays 14:00–21:00.
What is Yuwa's signature dish?
Our signature dish is Pad Thai Korat Laos Style: the only one of its kind in Helsinki. Pad Thai Korat is a regional version of Pad Thai from the city of Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) in northeastern Thailand: spicier and more caramelised than the Bangkok-style Pad Thai, with Lao influences from Isan cuisine.
What sets Yuwa's apart from other Thai restaurants in Helsinki?
Yuwa's serves Korat-Laos style Thai food, which is uncommon in Finnish Thai restaurants. Pad Thai Korat Laos Style and Som Tam Laos Style with fermented fish sauce are regional Isan-Lao dishes you won't find elsewhere in Helsinki in the same form.
What is Pad Thai Korat Laos Style?
Pad Thai Korat (Pad Mee Korat) is a regional version of Pad Thai from the city of Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima) in northeastern Thailand, about 250 km northeast of Bangkok. It differs from the Bangkok style: spicier, more caramelised thanks to palm sugar and tamarind, and traditionally made without peanuts in the dish: at Yuwa's, peanuts are served separately on the side if you wish. Yuwa's "Laos Style" interpretation highlights the Lao culinary influence of the Isan region.
Is Yuwa's an authentic Thai restaurant?
Yuwa's kitchen is based on authentic Thai recipes, with a focus on the regional Korat-Isan-Lao cuisine. We use traditional ingredients: fermented fish sauce in our som tam, and palm sugar and tamarind in our pad thai.
What is the lunch pass?
The lunch pass is our loyalty perk: collect 10 lunch stamps and the 11th lunch is on us. Each stamp is valid for 2 months from the day it's earned. The lunch pass is used during lunch hours, Mon–Fri 10:45–14:15.
Does Yuwa's accept lunch benefits?
Yes. We accept Smartum, Epassi, and Edenred lunch benefits during lunch hours, Mon–Fri 10:45–14:15.
Is Yuwa's suitable for a gluten-free diet?
Many of our dishes are naturally gluten-free or can be adapted. Let our staff know about your needs and we'll be happy to help. However, we cannot guarantee a completely cross-contamination-free environment.
